2010 Selvage Sampler

-
So this is my *top secret* quilt I worked on over the summer ...
-
Presenting my
-
2010 SELVAGE SAMPLER
-
-
I am entering it in the KVQG Quilt Show and will be dropping it off tomorrow.
-
But of course I had to show it here first!
-
-
Just a few pictures for now, but I will definitely take more photos when it is hanging at the show. (The colour is hard to capture, it is about a hundred times brighter "in person")
-
Also, as I don't think I should publish what I put in my Quilter's Statement before the show opens on Thursday, I'll post about this quilt again with lots more details later in the week.
-
For now I'll just say: It's my own design, my own selvages and it was sooooo fun to make!
-
Plus I LOVE it!

Oh this is so fantastic! I love it.
May I include it in the Selvage Quilt exhibit at: www.onlinequiltmuseum.com?
And on the Selvage Blog?
I hope you win a ribbon.
Wow!!

WOW! I have to confess, I just never was impressed by selvage quilts...until now. You really put some thought into each square and then framed them for maximum visual impact. I hope you do well in the competition. Some thing tells me you will! :)

It just amazes me to know that you are new to quilting! This is wonderful! You have an artist's eye that is invaluable for making exciting quilts! Love it! Can't wait to see it hung. I remember how proud I was when I finally saw my first quilt in a local show...just so cool to stand back and say, "I made that!"

It is amazing!!! I'm glad to see you entered 3 quilts in the show, but gosh, the winners were all SO traditional. I loved all 3 of your quilts. Tess is lucky to get those beauties!
